The Life Center provides a range of services including:
Balanced Meals
Breakfast – 8:30 am
Lunch – 12:15 pm
Snack – 2:00 pm
A nutritious breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack are provided. All meals are made on- site with fresh ingredients and are approved by our registered dietitian. The Life Center provides modified diets as ordered by the participants’ physician. Some examples of therapeutic diets are: vegetarian, cut-up, ground, and thickeners.
Activities and Programs
We offer a variety of activities designed to enhance the participants’ feeling of self-worth and usefulness, stimulate creativity, and provide safety, enjoyment, and fun. Activities are planned to meet the interests, needs, and abilities of the participants with an emphasis placed on utilizing strengths. Time is also scheduled for rest and relaxation.
The Life Center is a Music & Memory® certified organization. Music & Memory® is a non-profit organization that brings personalized music into the lives of the elderly or infirm through digital music technology, vastly improving quality of life. This program enables individuals diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other cognitive and physical challenges to reconnect with the world through music-triggered memories.
Monthly Health Checks
As part of the services of The Life Center, health care staff check the following on a monthly basis: blood pressure, oxygen saturation level, temperature, respiration, and weight. If a participant has a health condition which could benefit from additional monitoring, the Health Care Coordinator can collaborate with the participant’s primary care physician to provide the individualized care they need.
